NEIL TAYLOR GESNER
GESNER, NEIL TAYLOR Age 70 of Parker's Cover, Annapolis Co., passed away September 22, 2003 at the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Granville Centre, Annapolis Co., he was a son of the late Joseph and Lily (Taylor) Gesner. Neil began his working life in the Bank of Nova Scotia. He had a long career in sales and later became an entrepreneur in Fredericton, N.B. before retiring to Parker's Cove in 1993. He was a member of the Annapolis Royal Masonic Lodge #33 A.F. & A.M., a member of Eureka Chapter #5 Royal Arch Masons, a member of the Philae Temple of the Shrine, a member of the United Commercial Travelers of America and a volunteer driver with the Annapolis County Alternative Transportation Society. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and in his earlier years, scuba diving and flying. Neil loved the water. Most of his life he lived in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. He is survived by his wife, the former Lillian Isabel Campbell; daughters, Vicki Lynn Gesner (Kevin Wile), Bedford, Pamela Jane Gesner, Toronto; grandson, Timothy Donald Gesner, Fredericton and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by infant daughters, Darlene Faye and Karen Ann; sisters, Shirley Pitman (Albert), Dorothy Wilson (Louis) and Verna Duncan (Stanton). There will be no visitation by request. Annapolis Royal Masonic Lodge #33 will hold their service at 7:00 pm Thursday, September 25th at the Robert L. Hall Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, September 26, 2003 a the Parker's Cove Baptist Church. Pastor Jeff George officiating. Interment will be in the Parker's Cove Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Annapolis Community Health Centre at the Annapolis West Health Foundation.
