TRURO – Heather Winnifred Rae, 57, Truro, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at home. Born November 25, 1950, in Pictou, she was a daughter of Kathleen Elizabeth Rae, Pictou. She loved spending time with her granddaughter, Caitlyn. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals, especially cats, and will be missed by her cat, Tiger. Along with her mother, Heather is survived by daughter, Melinda (Robert) Sullivan, Truro; son, Christopher “Chris” Rae, Lower Sackville; granddaughters, Caitlyn Sullivan and Kelsey Royal; sisters: Gwen Langille, Marjorie (Perry) O’Connell, Robyn Landry, all of Pictou; Kathy Dunbar (Sonny Hebert), Scotsburn; brother, Richie (Betty) Rae, Pictou; dear friend, Peter Geal, Truro; several nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Heather’s family will receive friends from 2 to 4, 6 to 8 p.m. today and where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday. Reception to follow in the funeral home. Interment in Seaview Cemetery, Pictou. Flowers welcome or a donation in Heather’s memory to SPCA are welcomed.
