GEORGE EDGAR DOUCETTE
DOUCETTE, GEORGE EDGAR The death of George Edgar Doucette of Fredericton occurred October 7, 2003 at the age of 67. Born in Fredericton, he was the son of the late Arthur and Margaret Effie (Hickey) Doucette. George had worked at Canadian Cottons and later as a truck driver / equipment operator and in recent years as a crossing guard in Marysville and Barkers Point. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Marysville Branch #15. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Aurele, William and Arthur and sister, Cecilia Robar. Surviving are his wife Anna Marie; daughter, Michelle Murray; step-sons, Warren M. Parker (Vicki) and Brian R. Parker all of Fredericton; brothers, Edward (Glenna), Earl (Florence), Donald (Vera) and Dale (Dianne) all of Fredericton; sisters, Theresa (Ward) Jackson of Shilo, Manitoba, Margaret Opal (Leo) Doucet, Ella Parker and Marie (Clarence) Briggs of Fredericton; six grandchildren, Larrissa, Brianna, Kailey and Emiley Murray and Robbie and Zachary Parker; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Bishop's Funeral Home, Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Friday, October 10th at 7:00 pm, Rev. John Malasi Ighacho officiating. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Diabetes Association or Marysville Baptist Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
