LINACY - Helen Grace Atwater, age 87, of Linacy, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2007, at home. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Bessie (Geddes) Wallace. She attended the New Glasgow and Westville Salvation Army Citadels. She is survived by daughter, Carol (Raymond) Pettipas, Gairloch; sons: Ronald (Elva) Atwater, Stellarton; Howard (Margie) Atwater, Linacy; Alan (Debbie) Atwater, Victoria, B.C.; Reid Atwater, Lynn Lake, Manitoba; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Wesley Keith Atwater; sisters: Annie, Dorothy, Frances, a sister in infancy; brothers, Keith and Arthur. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Majors Ken and Jeannette Crews officiating. Burial will be in Lorne Street Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice.
