KING, M. ELIZABETH "BETTY" The death of M. Elizabeth "Betty" King occurred on October 8, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Norah (Edney) Burgess and wife of the late Cameron N. King. Betty was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. She lived for many years in Montreal and returned to live in Fredericton in 1978. Survived by one brother J. Ronald Burgess and his wife Dora of Fredericton; sisters-in-law Catherine Burgess of Fredericton and Doris Burgess of Ottawa; three nieces Karin (Keith) Ratcliff, Mary Ellen (Russ) Wilson and Jan Burgess; three nephews John (Judy) Burgess, Brian (Bernie) Burgess and Scott (Leona) Burgess, one cousin Peter Newgard and several grand nieces and grand nephews. Predeceased by her husband, parents, three brothers Dick, Burt and Ken Burgess and a nephew David Burgess. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Doug Blaikie will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery. No flowers by request, for those wish memorial tributes made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, SPCA or the charity of donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
