She was born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick and formerly live in Roxboro, Quebec. Dear daughter of the late Fred Hicks and Della Killam. Beloved wife of Phillip Reid Richards. Loving and devoted mother of Susan Diane Malcolm, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, Reid Frederick Richards, Miami, Florida, Nancy Evelyn Parent, Terrasse-Vaudreuil, Quebec, Janet Elaine Montpetit, Ile Bizard, Quebec and Linda Margaret Goodall, Peachtree City, Georgia. Dear sister of the late Frank Hicks, Everett Hicks, Detroit, Michigan, the late Donald Hicks, the late George Hicks and Margaret Ward of Lynchburg, Virginia. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Julie, Katie, Madison, Myles, Alisha, Chanelle, Joshua, Brittany, Michael, Lauren and Lisa. Lena was a Registered Nurse, avid musician/pianist, a member of the West Island Montreal Chapter of the Sweet Adelines, as well as an excellent seamstress and knitter. Her compassion and tenderness will be missed by all those whose lives she has touched. Resting at the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall from 7 pm Tuesday, October 14th. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday October 15, 2003 at 11:00 am. The Reverend Ruth Draffin of St. John's Presbyterian church officiating. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Cornwall. Visitation Tuesday 7-9 pm, Wednesday 9:00 - 10:45 am.
