PICTOU LANDING – Henrietta Catherine “Etta” Hayden, age 88, of Pictou Landing, passed away Monday, January 21, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Pictou Landing, she was a daughter of the late William Raymond and Isabell (Foster) Christie. She was a secretary having worked at the Housing Authority and retiring from Atlantic Insurance Ltd. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and was an avid bowler and card player. She is survived by her husband, Ross. She was predeceased by her sister, Agnes Christie. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A public graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Cemetery, Pictou Landing, with Rev. Joanne Vines officiating. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
