O'HARA, VALERIE M. 1948-2003 Valerie M. O'Hara, 54, of Riverview, passed away at the Moncton Hospital, Sunday, October 19, 2003 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Taymouth, NB, on November 11, 1948 and was the daughter of the late Arthur G. and Jean E. (Norrad) Greene. Valerie was a retired member of the teaching profession, having taught at Gunnsingville School. She attended St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, and she was a member of the NBTA and she was the founder of Children's Writers Group. Valerie enjoyed gardening, writing and painting. A loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend she will be sadly missed by her three children; Brent O'Hara of Riverview, Tammy Beach (Greg) of Halifax, NS and Jody O'Hara (Sheri) of Riverview, her grandson John Thomas O'Hara and by her sisters and brothers, Mildred Sidebottom (Roy) of Calgary, Phyllis Camken (Ken) of Mississauga, ON, Rhona O'Hara (Alton) Durham Bridge, NB, Beverley Greene (Freda) of London, ON, Artie Greene of Toronto, Ralph Greene (Wilda) of Fredericton, Connie Campbell (Jim) of Taymouth, NB, Brenda Gullison (Laurie) of MacLeod Hill, NB, Neil Greene (Lillian), Calgary, her sister-in-law; Paulette Green of Saint John, NB and by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband, Robert Vincent O'Hara in 2000 and by her eldest brother; Paul Green. Visitation is at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road, Riverview on Tuesday, October 21, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Botsford Street, Moncton, NB, on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at 11 a.m. with Father Peter McKee officiating. Parish prayers will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at 8:30 p.m. Interment will be in Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview, NB. Donations to the Jean E.
