PIKE, LORNE DOUGLAS The death of Lorne Douglas Pike of Keswick Ridge, husband of the late Muriel (McEdwards) Pike, occurred on Thursday, October 23, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Montreal, QC, he was the son of the late Stephen and Alice M. (Knight) Pike. Lorne was a long haul truck driver, employed with General Electric and Sunbury Transport. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Lorne is survived by three sons, David Pike and his wife Jean of Calgary, AB; Robert Pike of Keswick Ridge; and Donald Pike of Windsor, ON; a daughter, Leahn Axiak of Windsor, ON; 6 grandchildren, Kimmy, Billy, Stacey, Scott, Dawn Marie, and Rachael; two great grandchildren, Tristin and Tatitana; and several nieces and nephews. Lorne was predeceased by brothers Stephen (Jim) Pike and Lloyd Pike; and by a sister, Rosamond Beauchamp. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel. Mr. Stephen Labelle will officiate. Interment will take place in the PickardMerrithew Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
