SOMERVILLE, JOHN EDWARD The death of John Edward Somerville of Richibucto Road, husband of Debbie (Munn) Somerville, occurred on Friday, October 24, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Fredericton, he was the son of the late James and Ethel (Hazlett) Somerville. John was an avid hunter, and enjoyed car racing. In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is survived by his daughters, Roxanne Somerville (Clarence Guitar), Gail Mahoney (Randy), and Cindy Boyce (Garfield), all of Fredericton; brothers Rollie Somerville (Marjorie) of Fredericton, Ronald Somerville (Mary) of Fredericton, and James Somerville (Eva) of Doaktown; sisters Viola Holland of Fredericton, Eileen Stewart of Fredericton, and Carolyn Broussell (Fred) of Cape Breton; grandchildren Joshua and Jeremy Guitar, Drew and Adam Mahoney, and Mary and Tiffany Boyce; and several nieces and nephews. John will be sadly missed by closest friends Lynn Curtis and Roydan Jordon. He was predeceased by brothers Gerald David Somerville and Waldo Irving Somerville. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North, on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2:30 PM from the Cornerstone Christian Outreach, Richibucto Road. Pastor George Corney, Jr. will officiate, assisted by Mr. Dwight McCoy and Rev. Bruce Arsenault. Interment will take place in the Zionville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Garfield Boyce, Randy Mahoney, Clarence Guitar, Joshua Guitar, Lynn Curtis, and Royden Jordon.
