SPROUL, HILDA MARQUIS (NEE DICKSON) The death of Hilda Marquis Sproul occurred at Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton on October 27th, 2003. Born in Centre Napan, NB, on December 16th, 1903, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Ellen (Marquis) Dickson and wife of the late Harry Parker Sproul. Hilda was a graduate in nursing from the Miramichi Hospital in 1926. She was the first Director of Nursing at the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home. She was a member of Saint Andrew's United Church, Miramichi, a member of Saint Paul's United Church Women's Organization, Fredericton, and an Honorary Member of the Miramichi Rebekkah Lodge. Hilda was always praised for her quality and dedicated nursing service. Her hospitality and kindness to others will always be remembered. Hilda was a very devoted and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and the lessons in life that she instilled in each one of us will never be forgotten. Survived by one daughter, Betty (Jack) Fitzpatrick of Fredericton; five grandchildren, Sandra (Jason) Ing, John (Patricia) Fitzpatrick, Hugh (Ann Marie) Fitzpatrick, Mark (Lynn) Fitzpatrick, and Glen (Beth) Fitzpatrick; twelve great-grandchildren, Kristy, Jennifer, Lori, Heather, Kelly, Matthew, Kaitlin, Laura, Simon, Jennifer, Megan, and Gregory. Predeceased by her father and mother, her husband, Harry Parker Sproul; three sisters, Marion Little, Margaret, and Mary Perley; four brothers, Hugh, Bliss, David and Henderson. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7- 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church, Fredericton on Thursday, October 30th, 2003 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Reginald Miller will officiate.
