GLADYS M. WEBB

WEBB, GLADYS M. The death of Gladys M. (Eden) Webb of Fredericton, NB occurred at York Manor Nursing Home on Thursday, October 30th, 2003. Born in Gaspé, PQ she was the daughter of the late Francis G. and Edith M. Eden and wife of G. Murray Webb. Gladys and Murray were married in Gaspé in 1945 and subsequently moved to Moncton where their children were born. In 1958 they moved to Fredericton. Gladys enjoyed teaching ceramics and was involved in church life at Christ Church Parish Church, particularly in the ACW and the Craft Group. Gladys was known by her many friends as a gracious hostess, a wonderful cook and an avid bridge player. Most of all Gladys was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survived by her husband, G. Murray Webb; one son, Gerald M. Webb (Nancy) of Calgary, AB; one daughter, Joyce Dorothea Thomander (Kevin) of Fredericton, NB; four grandchildren, Glenn and Beth Thomander and Craig and Keith Webb and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, three brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton, on Sunday, November 2nd, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Christ Church Parish Church on Monday, November 3rd, 2003 at 2:00 pm. The Venerable John Sharpe will officiate assisted by Rev. Elaine Hamilton. Interment will take place in the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial tributes made to the Alzheimer's Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association, the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or to a charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family. www.mcadamsfh.com
