ELLIOTT-EADIE, ANNIE IVY In her 97th year, Annie Ivy ELLIOTTEADIE affectionately called " Auntie Ivy" passed peacefully away at the York Manor after a period of failing health. Born in Kennington, London England June 26, 1906. At he age of 12 she moved to Montreal with her parents the late Walter and Emma "Langford" Elliott. She was the youngest of six sisters. She was the last surviving member of her family. She was married to the late WW 1 Veteran John Eadie (1891 - 1960) and resided in Westmount P.Q. Mrs. Eadie was both a nurse and seamstress by profession having worked at the Victoria General Hospital. She had a passion for interior decorating and made draperies for many Montreal Homes. Her love for animals saw her volunteer any spare time to the SPCA, after her retirement she devoted much of her time to the caring and well being of animals taken in to the SPCA Shelter. She was a devoted member of Westmounted Baptist Church transferring her membership to St Paul's United Church, Fredericton when she moved at the age of 88 to be under the care of her great nephew "Michael " & Joan Crowther. "Aunt Ivy" was most appreciative of the special care and devotion given to her by "her two nurses" Joan & Kara Crowther , through their love and acts of kindness "Ivy" adopted Fredericton as her special second home. During this period she resided at the North Minto Residence and the last several years at York Manor Nursing Home. The family have high praise for the "special care" she received over the past nine years. The funeral service will be held at McAdams Select Community Funeral Home at 2PM, Wednesday December 10, 2003 with Rev. Dr. David Fisher of St. Paul's United Church officiating. There will not be any visitation by request. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA. Interment will take place in the family plot at the Fulford PQ United Church of Canada Cemetery. www.mcadamsfh.com
