INEZ PEARL SWAN

SWAN, INEZ PEARL Inez P. Swan of Tweedside, widow of Stephen Swan passed away December 11, 2003 at the Oromocto Public Hospital at the age of 90. Born at Lake Road, Harvey Station, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Messer) Bell. She was a member of the Knox Presbyterian Church. Inez is survived by five daughters, Ann Swan, Calgary, AB, Beryl Johnston, Harvey Station, Charlotte Corey (George), Port Hope, ON, Aldana Swan (Harold), Harvey Station, Betty Piercy (Gerry), Harvey Station; two sons, Russell Swan (Barbara), McAdam and LeRoy Swan (Shirley), Tweedside; three sisters, Mildred Wilson, Harvey Station, Mabel Buchanan, Kentville, NS and Joyce Sloan, Lake George; one brother, Myles Bell (Pauline), Vernon, BC; twenty four grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, a sister, Jean Vance, a brother, Norman Bell and a son-in-law, Dell Johnston. Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station with visiting hours Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Harvey Station on Sunday, December 14, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating. Interment will be later at Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and special neighbor, Clayton Piercy. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Inez, the family has suggested the Alzheimer Society or a charity of the donor's choice. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for their Mother's caregivers, Linda Cleghorn, Eleanor Tracey and Shirley Messer, whose love and care brought Mum great joy.
