WORKS, SADIE FLORENCE The death of Sadie Florence Works of Douglas, wife of Robert L. (Bob) Works, occurred on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Truro, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Leandre and Nellie Mader. Sadie liked watching television, doing word puzzles, and crocheting. She was Baptist by faith. In addition to her husband, Sadie is survived by her daughters, Mary-Lou Purdy (Malcolm) of Tillsonburg, Ontario; Lois Williams (Steve) of Durham Bridge; and Florence Peterson (Doug) of Birdton; a brother, Stanley Mader (Doreen) of Ontario; sisters Eleanor (Bob) of Ontario, Jennie Jukes of Toronto, and Mabel McDonald of Harvey; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Sadie was predeceased by a brother, Hibert; and by sisters Edna Arnburg and Irma Adnress. Visitation and funeral services will be held at Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro, Nova Scotia (902-8955587), with interment in the Truro Heights Cemetery. Funeral arrangements in Fredericton are under the care and direction of York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North.
