DOROTHY "DOLLY" NEALIS

NEALIS, DOROTHY "DOLLY" Dorothy "Dolly" Nealis passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Sunday, December 21st, 2003. Born in Norfolk, England on July 16th, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Martha (Lake) Melton. She moved to Canada in 1913. Dolly was a member of several organizations including: Saint Theresa's CWL, the Senior Choir, the Ladies Auxiliary Legion Branch #4, the Nashwaaksis 55 Plus Club and the Fredericton Ladies Liberal Association. Dolly was also a stall holder at the Farmer's Market for a number of years. She was better known to other stall holders as "Gram." She also was employed as a homemaker, known to most of her clients as "Neallie." Survived by her son, Patrick "Pat" (special friend, Daisy); daughter, Katharine Bailey (Ed); grandchildren, Cindy Forbes (Lonnie), Mike Bailey (special friend, Diane) and Michelle Harrison (Robert) and several greatgrandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her family friend, Arlis Carton and close neighbors, Bev and Darlene Hazlett. She is predeceased by her husband, Elward and her son, Fred. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Monday, December 22nd, 2003 from 24 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Theresa's Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2003 at 11:00 am. Rev. John Jennings as celebrant. Interment will be held in the St. Anthony's Cemetery at a later date.
