MACKENZIE, JEANNE MARIE The death of Mrs. Jeanne Marie MacKenzie widow of Murdock MacKenzie, of Elizabeth Street, Miramichi, NB occurrred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday, December 22, 2003 at the age of 82. Born in England she was the daughter of the late William and Beatrice (Little) Newroth. Jeanne was a past matron of the Prince Andrew Chapter #42 Order of Eastern Star. Jeanne is survived by: one son John Speight (Helen) of Fredericton, NB; one brother Ian (Ruth) of Fredericton, NB; three grandchildren: Brian, Sandra and Heather; four great grandchildren: Amy, Jessica, Courtney, and Katie and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one sister Barbara and three brothers Russel, Max, and Stephen. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the H. Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard Steeves officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mark's Anglican Cemetery later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the NB Heart Foundation or the NB Diabetic Association.
