BAIER, JESSIE ISABEL The death of Jessie Isabel Baier of Fredericton, formerly of Woodstock, wife of the late Hughie Baier occurred on December 25, 2003 at the York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton, NB. Born in Charleston, NB on May 11, 1915, she was a daughter of the late George and Eva (Ketch) DeLong. Mrs. Baier is survived by two daughters, Treva Walker (Ronald) of Fredericton and Linda Baier of Fredericton; 11 grandchildren, Jim McCloskey, Cathy Calhoun, Susan Nicholson, Jennifer Walker, Michael Sheng, Orland DeLong, Debbie Clifford, William DeLong, Donald DeLong, Joy DeLong and Sally Carr; numerous great grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley DeLong (Marie) of Fredericton and Wendall DeLong (Shirley) of Woodstock; two sisters, Azlee Cook of Woodstock and Velma Britton of Woodstock; special nephew, Waldo Shaw (Doreen) and several other nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one son, Lloyd DeLong; one grandson, Chris DeLong; two brothers, Earl and Elmer DeLong; three sisters, Florence Miller, Alma Shaw and Ruth Dickinson. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2003 at 2 pm from the Marysville Baptist Church, 150 Cowperthwaite Street, Fredericton, NB with Rev. David DuBois and Mr. Peter G. Somerville (Director of Pastoral Care - York Manor Nursing Home) officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Marysville Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service are: David Calhoun, Jeffrey Calhoun, Larry Shaw, Wayne DeLong, Stuart Britton and Donald DeLong. Honourary Pallbearers are: Waldo and Doreen Shaw and Cedric and June Shaw.
