The funeral of the late James Donald (Don) Curley will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, High Street, New Glasgow, on Saturday July 5, 2008, at 11 a.m as per his wishes to be interned with the family in New Glasgow. Mr. Curley passed away May 5, 2008, in Welland Ontario, a few days after surgery and a short illness at the age of 81. He was born and raised in New Glasgow and following his return from service in the Armed Forces (North Nova Scotia Highlanders) he moved to Welland, Ontario, in 1948 where he worked in factories until he left for work in the southern United States in 1967 as a millwright, eventually retiring in Brunswick Georgia. Mr. Curley returned to Welland Ontario in March 2007. Following the service at Holy Cross Cemetery there will be a light luncheon provided by the Royal Canadian Legion Provost Street New Glasgow.
