BENNETT, F. RAY The death of F. Ray Bennett of Fredericton, husband of Shirley H. (Vye) Bennett, occurred on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at York Manor. Born in Stanley, he was the son of the late Frank and Eva (Fullarton) Bennett. In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by two daughters, Rachael Lean of Fredericton and Velma Chamberlain (Chris) of Stanley; a stepdaughter, Judy Thomas (Darrell) of Guelph, Ontario; two step-sons, Ron McLeod (Gail) of Fredericton and Kevin McLeod (Thelma) of Ireland; grandchildren Jesse, Laura, Josie, Joel, Erin, and Jill; step-grandchildren Joanna, Rachel, Jonathan, Jeremy, Jarrett, Danielle, Jessica, Abigail, Charlotte, and Nathan; and two great grandchildren. Ray was predeceased by a daughter, Beverly Dean; and by his first wife, Margaret (Donahue) Bennett. Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, Brookside Drive at Douglas Avenue, Fredericton North. Rev. Kevin McLeod will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date in Sunny Bank Cemetery.
