BERTRAM LEONARD ROBINSON

ROBINSON, BERTRAM LEONARD The death of Bertram L. Robinson of Fredericton, NB occurred on Saturday, January 3rd, 2004 at his residence. Born in London, England, he was the son of Henry and Mary Robinson and husband of the late Nina Robinson. Robbie, as his friends knew him, served in both the British Army and the Royal Canadian Air Force. Upon leaving the Air Force he went on to a distinguished career in the private sector in Washington, DC, before retiring to Fredericton. He was a strong and supportive father, a man who led by example and who remained independent of mind and spirit until the end. His ability to entertain and regale others with his anecdotes and amusing tales was a great source of pleasure to those around him. Survived by one son John (Shauna) of Scotsburn, NS, and one son - in - law, Pat Beggs of Fredericton, NB, four grand children, and three great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Mary, wife, Nina, and daughter Wendy. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, January 6th, 2003 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at a later date in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery.
