October 24, 1962 – June 22, 2008 It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Janet Hansen on Sunday, June 22, 2008, after a valiant battle with cancer, at the age of 45. Janet was born in New Glasgow, N.S., but spent most of her early years in Howe Bay, PEI, with family and friends. It was her wish to retire to the Island once her husband David retired from the military. Janet will forever be remembered by her husband, David; daughter, Amee; step-daughters, Winola (Nola), Sybil; step-son, Trevor; and step-dad, Charles; as well as all those that she had touched during her brief but fulfilling life. Graveside service will be held at The Peoples Cemetery, Charlottetown, PEI, on July 26, 2008, at 1300 hours. A reception will be held in Stanhope following the service.
