March 20, 1950 - February 10, 2008 Jim was a dedicated and loving husband and dad. He died unexpectedly, a few hours before he and his wife Darlene (Lamperd) were to fly from their home in Terrace, BC to Vancouver. Jim was looking forward to a week with his daughters, Meghan and Caitlin, and family friends. He was so proud of them all. He was thrilled with his new home, running the tractor, cleaning up the pond, and making plans. Jim was born in Montreal on March 20, 1950. He spent his youth moving between Ontario, Quebec, PEI , Nova Scotia and Alberta until settling in Terrace, BC, in 1985, and calling it home. Surviving besides his wife and daughters are sisters, Peggy (Margaret) Schneider (Larry), and Diane (Murray) Alls (Al); extended family, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, in Ontario and Nova Scotia, and so many wonderful friends. He was predeceased by his father, Ted (Edwin) in 1980 and his mother, Olive (Murray), October 25, 2007. There will be a memorial service and interment of ashes at Lorne Street Cemetery for both Jim and his mother, Olive (Murray) Westerman, 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 19 at Trinity United Church, New Glasgow.
