NEW GLASGOW – Jody Anne Martin, 37, New Glasgow, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at home. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Dianne (Graham) Martin, Merigomish, and the late Alexander Christopher Martin. She was employed as the manager of the Thistle Bar & Grill, New Glasgow, having previously been employed at The Dock. Jody was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed spending time at the gym. She was a lifetime Bon Jovi fan and was affectionately nicknamed “Jody Bon Jovi”. She was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Surviving besides her mother, Dianne, are daughters, Candace Martin (Mitch), Stellarton; Chloe Martin, at home; sisters, Melinda Martin (Scott Doward), Halifax; Roxanne (Ralph) Heighton, Pictou; brother, Troy (Cherryl) Martin, Telford; maternal grandmother, Deserta (Smith) Graham, Baccaro; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors 1-4 p.m. Saturday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. At Jody’s request a private service will be held. www.pkmacdonald.ca
