WORTMAN, DOUGLAS Douglas Wortman, 78, of Moncton passed away at the Q.E. II Health Centre Halifax, NS on Wednesday February 25, 2004. Born in Moncton son of the late G. Otto Wortman and Lillian (Chambers) Wortman. Doug was a vet a World War II having served with the R. C. Navy. He retired from CN Equipment after 30 years, former volunteer with the Moncton Fire Department with 29 years service as Captain of #4 Company, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch #6 and C.N.R. War Vets. Doug will be sadly missed by his wife Mary E (Douglass) Wortmen, Daughters; C Elizabeth Wortman, Vancouver, BC, Jane Williamson, Fredericton, Grandchildren; Sarah Jane, Thomas, Sister Geraldine Taylor (Norman), Moncton, Brother Donald Wortman, ON, several Nieces and Nephews. Predeceased by Sister Florence, Brothers Stanley, Robert, James and Arnold. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd, Moncton (858-1995) Wednesday March 3, 7 - 9. Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch #6 will hold a memorial service Wednesday at 7:00 at the funeral home. In Keeping with Doug's wishes there will be no funeral service.
