Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on June 8, 2008 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, Frank Hamilton of St. John's, aged 87 years. He was born in Joe Batt's Arm and was a longstanding airport firefighter in Gander. Predeceased by his wife Margaret in 2004, his parents, Thomas and Agnes Hamilton, and brother, Ambrose Hamilton. Leaving to mourn his two daughters, Patricia Lamont (Bill), Dartmouth, N.S., Mary Hamilton-Church (Bob), St. John's, and three sons, Brian (Elaine) Fredericton, N.B., Paul (Lynn) Toronto, Ont., and Sean (Linda), St. John's, and his 13 beautiful grandchildren, Michael and Anne, Marie, John, Janet and Christine; Peter and Claire; Christopher, Stefan and Gina and Catherine and Sean. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Monday June 9, 2-4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Arthritis Society or a charity of one's choice.
