ORLAND TRUE (BUDDY) MOWAT

MOWAT, ORLAND TRUE (BUDDY) The death of Orland True (Buddy) Mowat, 65, of Ottawa, formerly of Minto occurred Friday, February 20th, 2004 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Born at Minto, he was the son of the late Donald and Ruth (Rosengren) Mowat. Buddy had served in the Canadian Armed Forces and since that time had held various positions including working with the Ottawa School Board and retiring as a Commissioner at the Parliament buildings in Ottawa. He is survived by brothers, Donald Mowat (Evelyn) of Cunberland Bay, Dale Mowat (Ursula) of Burton, William Mowat (Betty) of Minto, John Mowat (Marilyn) of Moncton and Harvie Mowat (Mary Lou) of Fredericton; sisters, Fay Belleville of Minto, Loy MacDonald (George) of Fredericton, Nancy Goodine (Clarence) of Perth Andover and Betty Elaine Schatz (Kurt) of Saint John; a sister-in-law, Genevieve Mowat of Toronto; a special friend Thelma and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Max and David. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home (327-3490) where funeral service will be held 4:00 PM, Saturday, March 6th, 2004 from the Parker Memorial Chapel with Pastor Kris Austin officiating. The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 3pm until funeral time. Interment will take place in the Full Gospel Pentecostal Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church would be appreciated by the family.
