ELGEE, HOWARD JOSEPH The death of Howard Joseph Elgee of Fredericton, husband of Olla (Dorcas) Elgee, occurred on Monday, March 08, at York Manor. Born in Cranbrook, BC, he was the son of the late Eugene and Maude (Grady) Elgee. Howard was a member of Nashwaaksis United Church and a Masonic Member of the Alexandria Lodge # 33. Besides his wife, Howard is survived by two sons, David (Kathryn) Elgee, Coquitlam, BC, Donald (Charlene) Elgee, Ottawa, On; one sister, Dorothea Hegan, Moncton; six grandchildren, Kimberly, Lauren, Heather, Karen, Laura, Jeffrey; two great-grandchildren, Hagen and Ella; several nieces and nephews. There is no visitation by request. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 11, 2004, from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton at 2 pm with the Rev. Gil MacKenzie officiating. There will be a reception following the service in the adjoining fireside room. An interment will take place at a later date at the Sunny Bank Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Arthritis Society or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
