HUMPHREY, RAEMONA HAZEL (BECK) The death of Raemona Hazel (Beck) Humphrey of Durham Bridge, wife of Robert Humphrey occurred on March 10, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton. Born in Doaktown, NB, she was a daughter of the late Anne (Alward) Goodine. Mrs. Humphrey had worked in the Cafeteria at St. Thomas University. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Betsey Ballard (Vern Thorson) of Texas; two sons, Glenwood Ballard (Brenda) of Slave Lake, AB and Thomas Ballard of Weland, ON; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister, Ricki Thompson (Ken) of St. Catherines, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by one sister, Mildred Connors and one brother, Sterling Alward. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM and Friday from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 2 PM from the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, Fredericton with Rev. Gerald Matthews officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Sunny Bank Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
