ELDON AND SHELLEY SABATTIS
SABATTIS, ELDON AND SHELLEY Eldon and Shelley Sabattis of Oromocto, NB passed away suddenly on Sunday March 28, 2004. They are survived by their two sons Jesse James Sabattis, age 8 and Frank Donald Sabattis, age 6 of Oromocto and their two dogs Gizmo and Bear. Shelley is survived by her mother Mildred (Bud) of Nasonworth; four uncles, and one aunt, several cousins, nephews and a godchild. Shelley is predeceased by her grandparents John and Hilda Bartlett and an uncle, Edward. Eldon is survived by two sisters; Paula (Gerald) of Maugerville, Margaret of Oromocto and chosen sister Phyllis (John) of Oromocto; two chosen brothers Lloyd and Brian (Cora-Lee), both from Oromocto, several uncles and aunts, nephews, godchildren and cousins. Eldon is predeceased by his parents John and Anita; grandparents Levi and Janie Sabattis and John and Vera Stennitt; several uncles, one aunt and cousins. Eldon and Shelley were members of the Roman Catholic Church and attended St. Vincent de Paul, in Oromocto. Eldon was a councilor of and employed with the Oromocto First Nation. He was in charge of the Fishery program. Eldon and Shelley will be resting in their home at 28 MacDonald Avenue, Oromocto on Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon and evening. Their funeral service will be held Friday, April 2, 2004 at 11 am at St. Vincent de Paul, Oromocto with Father Ken Weir officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Pallbearers for Eldon will be Roger Atwin, Chris Gray, Lloyd Nash, Brian Sabattis, Levi Sabattis and Nikia Sabattis. Pallbearers for Shelley will be Gerald Bartlett, Kenneth Bartlett, Willard Bartlett, Johnny Thurber, Mike Thurber and Shawn Thurber. www.bishopsfuneralhome.com
