Pictou/Scotsburn – John William “Bill” Graham, 87, of the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou, and formerly of Scotsburn, passed away January 31, 2008, in the home. Born in Four Mile Brook, he was a son of the late Charles and Bessie (Gray) Graham. Bill worked highway construction with Warren Maritimes for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Saunders); sons: George (Isabel), Durham; Fred (Pamela), Yarmouth; Vernon (Cindy), Scotsburn; and daughter, Linda (Paul) MacCormack, Scotsburn; sister, Dorothy Waller, Durham; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Gordon. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Sunday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday from Bethel Presbyterian Church, Scotsburn, with Rev. Dr. Norman Marple officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
