STAIRS, ELLA RUBY Ella R. Stairs of Toronto, ON, widow of I. Lewis Stairs passed away May 2, 2004 at Peel Memorial Hospital in Brampton, ON. Born at Hartfield in 1927, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Marguerite (Schriver) Stairs. Ella is survived by two daughters, Annette Turturici (Phil), Mississauga, ON and their children, Valerie Saunders (Steve) and Michelle Turturici and Elaine Cronkhite (Bill), Schomberg, ON, and their son, Drew Cronkhite; a son, Jeff Stairs (Sonia), Brampton, ON, and their children, Jessica, Jamie and Justin Stairs; two great grandchildren, Andrew and Emily Saunders; her sisters and brothers, Dalton Stairs (Hilda), Hartfield, Alda Winia (Sam), Nova Scotia, Eugene Stairs (Doris), Hartfield, Bertram Stairs (Frances), Nackawic, Donald Stairs (Barb), Bowmanville, ON, Audrey McDermid (Jack), Oshawa, ON, Paul Stairs (Carol), Millville, Darlene Reay (Dave), Bewdley, ON, and Peter Stairs (Carlene), Temperance Vale; an aunt, Freda Schriver, Woodstock; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in 1992 and three sisters, Juanita MacArthur, Rosalie Bradley and Shona Stalker. Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at 2 p.m. Rev. Wayne Schriver officiating. Interment in Otis Cemetery.
