HOLROYD, CHRISTINE ALMA The death of Christine Alma Holroyd of Durham Bridge, wife of the late Kenneth Leslie Holroyd occurred on Wednesday, May 05, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Nashwaak Village, NB, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Watson Smith and Annie Mae (MacLean) Smith. Mrs. Holroyd trained at New England Baptist Hospital for a registered nurse and worked in various hospitals until 1964 then moved to England at the time of her marriage. She was adherent to the Grace Memorial United Baptist Church and a member of the Grace Matheson Mission Circle. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Holroyd is survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Holroyd was predeceased by three sisters, Lena, Gertrude and Mary Smith; one brother, Harold Smith. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2004 at 2 PM from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Hapeman officiating.
