SAUNDERS, MURIEL ALEANDRA (BOYD) The death of Muriel Alexandra (Boyd) Saunders of Fredericton, wife of the late Gerald Saunders occurred on Friday, May 07, 2004 at the York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton, NB. Born in Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Bessie (Rodgers) Boyd. Early in Mrs. Saunders life she worked for Federal Hardware and later was a Secretary for the Department of Transportation. She was a member of the Nashwaaksis United Church and enjoyed watching her grandsons and great grandsons play hockey. Mrs. Saunders is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Seymour (Warren) of Fredericton and Deb Hollingworth of Fredericton; six grandchildren, Janice Edwards (Randy), Tim Seymour (Andrea), Randy Seymour (Karla), Chris Seymour (Tammy), Peter Seymour (Wendy), and Jamie Seymour; eleven great grandchildren, Cory and Jeffrey Edwards, Matt and Ryan Seymour, Bill, Michael and Taylor Seymour, Dillen Theriault, Racheal and Alaina Seymour, and Lindsey Seymour; one brother-in-law, Jim Saunders; three sisters-in-law, Beulah Crites, Madeline Carson, and Lil Saunders; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Saunders and one son-in-law, Steve Hollingworth. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 9, 2004 at 2 pm from the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, Fredericton, NB with Mr. Peter Somerville officiating. Interment will be in the Douglas Rural Cemetery, Fredericton, NB. Pallbearers for the service are: Tim Seymour, Randy Seymour, Chris Seymour, Peter Seymour, Jamie Seymour and Randy Edwards.
