GILBEY, MARGARET IRENE The death of Margaret Irene Gilbey, wife of the late Samuel Gilbey, of Fredericton, occurred on Sunday, May 09, 2004, at York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton. Born in Yorkshire, England, she was the daughter of a late Joseph and Edith (Clifton) Beck. Margaret is survived by two daughters, Ann Cameron (Walter), New Maryland, Sandra Burtt, Fredericton; one son, Clifton Gilbey (Florence) Fredericton; four sisters, Ursula Gray, Margery McArthur, Kathleen Cormier and Joyce Hamilton; four brothers, Geoffrey, James, Frank and Brian Beck; twelve grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Margaret was predeceased by two brothers, John and Joe Beck; three sisters, Barbara Jones and Olive Cleal, Gladys Kirkpatrick; one greatgranddaughter, Emilie Arsenault; stepmother, Phyllis Beck. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 PM from the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church with the Rev. Bill MacMullin officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery.
