FORBES, MATTHEW HAROLD RAYMOND The death of Matthew Harold Raymond Forbes of Taymouth occurred unexpectedly in a tragic housefire on Thursday, April 29, 2004. Born in Fredericton, on January 30th, 1985, he was the beloved son of Ross and Lana (Curley) Forbes and brother and best friend to Lindsay Forbes, he was called home too soon. Matthew attended the Stanley High School as a grade 11 student. He was a member of the Stanley High School Auto Club, and loved computers, video games, drawing, and reading, had a quick sense of humor and loved his family pets. Jock the family dog was also a victim to the fire. Besides his parents and sister he is survived by paternal grandparents James and Dorothy (Ross) Forbes of Nashwaak Bridge, maternal grandparents Harold (Buddy) and Joan (Clowater) Curley of Doaktown, and great grandparents, Sanford and Mildred Clowater of New Bandon; uncles and aunts, Harold and Shirley Curley of Ottawa, Brian and Paula Forbes of McLeod Hill, Joanne Forbes and Michael Chamberlain of Taymouth; godparents Donna and Raymond Ward; cousins, Rachel and Sarah Curley, Erin Forbes, Andrew, Adam and Sarah Chamberlain. Visitation will take place at Stanley High School on Friday, June 4, 2004 from 3:30 pm. The Celebration of Matthew's life will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 11 am from the Christ Church Cathedral, Brunswick Street, Fredericton with Rev. Richard McConnell officiating and Rev. Hazel Morris-Harvey assisting. Interment will be at a later date. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Stanley High School Auto Club, Mental Health Association of NB, Heart and Stroke Association or the SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
