Graham, Laura Ellen (Burke), of Stellarton, passed away on Friday, October 10th, 2008, at the Q E II Health Science Centre, Halifax. Born in Sunny Brae, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Bessie (McLaren) Burke. Laura resided in Sunny Brae most of her life, having moved to Stellarton four years ago. Laura worked as a PCW in several locations and was an employee of Wearwell Garments. Laura was a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church, MacDonald Rebekah Lodge, Sunny Brae. She was a former member of AMS and Calvin Ladies Aide. She is survived by her husband; Alan, Stellarton; brother; Kenneth Burke, New Glasgow; sister-in-law, Florence Burke, Antigonish; three nieces and a nephew; several great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Lawrence. The family will receive visitors from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. on Tuesday in the H. C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, with Rev. Don Shephard officiating. Burial will be in the Sunny Brae Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Laura may be made to the Calvin Presbyterian Church or the Sunny Brae Cemetery.
