GRACE EUNICE BROOKS

BROOKS, GRACE EUNICE Peacefully at the Oromocto Public Hospital, the death of Grace Eunice Brooks of Gagetown, occurred on Thursday, June 9th, 2004. Born in Gagetown, she was the daughter of the late Hazen S. and Ada H. (Williams) McAllister and wife of the late Ralph G. Brooks. She was a faithful member of the Anglican Church and the ACW. Grace was a member of the Retired Teachers Association having taught for 36 years in numerous schools though out the area. Being a retired teacher she was noted for her dedication to her profession and keeping in touch with her former students. Grace also was a life member and supporter of the PC Party. Survived by one brother, John T. McAllister (Sybil) of Gagetown; one sister, Marjorie Aker of Vancouver, BC; two brothers in law, Allison Waugh of Douglas and James Brooks of Fredericton; two sisters in law, Jean McAllister and Alice Merrill (Brooks) both of Fredericton, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Ralph, bothers, James and Douglas, sister, Mary and dearly loved nephew, Brian. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Sunday, June 13th, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, Gagetown on Monday, June 14th, 2004 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Gerald Laskey will officiate. Interment will be held in the Gagetown United Church Cemetery.
