PICTOU – Laura Jane Ernst, 93, of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, and formerly of Pictou, died June 11, 2008, in the Manor. Born in Pouch Cove, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Mary W. (Welsh) Murray. She is survived by a sister, Maude Murray, Pouch Cove, Newfoundland. She was predeceased by her first husband, Elijah Rudolph; second husband, Alfred Ernst; seven brothers; three sisters. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou, with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Central Caribou Cemetery.
