AMOS, SHIRLEY CARL The passing of Shirley Carl Amos of Carroll's Crossing, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Monday, June 21, 2004. Born in Carroll's Crossing, 1931, Shirley was a son of the late Theodore and Katherine (Lyons) Amos. Mr. Amos was a retired Mill worker and was a member of the Carroll's Crossing Baptist Church. Shirley is survived by his wife, Mabel (Lyons) Amos; two daughters, Gail Chappell (Douglas) of Riverview and Glenna Sharpe (Bruce) of Cavan, ON; one son, Gregory Amos (Gale) of New Bandon; two grandsons, Keith (Marcia Richard) and Kenneth; one sister, Vivian Lyons of Doaktown and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Amos is predeceased by four brothers, Cleveland, Wendall, Sterling and Robert; two sisters, Irma Stillwell and Gertrude Spencer. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon, NB on Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 24th, 2004, at 2 PM from the Carroll's Crossing Baptist Church with Pastor Wilbur Matthews officiating and Pastor Cole Price assisting. Interment will follow at the Carroll's Crossing Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, would be appreciated by the family.
