GILBERT BRUNET
BRUNET, GILBERT Gilbert Brunet of Innisfil, ON, formerly of Fredericton, passed away unexpectedly at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, ON on June 24, 2004. He is survived by his daughters Michelle Brunet (John F. Kennedy) of Mt. Albert, ON, Christine Brunet of France; his son Francois Brunet of France; brother Louis Brunet of France; his grandchildren Alex, Angelique, Stephane, Tony, and Lydia: and a sister-in-law Suzanne Brunet of France. Born in France, Gilbert immigrated to Canada in the 1950's and first lived in Alberta were he met his wife the late Nancy McLaughlin. The couple later moved to Fredericton. There Gilbert worked at a couple of automobile dealerships and was also the manager of several service stations. Sadly his wife Nancy passed away in 1987. Gilbert has been living in Ontario for the last several years to be closer to his daughter Michelle and his grandson Alex. Gilbert was a veteran of WWII and the last surviving member of the S.A.S. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home in Perth-Andover with visitation on Monday, 10-12 in the morning. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 28, 2004 at 2 p.m. from the Ortonville United Baptist Church. Rev. Gerald Myers officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
