WILSON, PATRICK JOSEPH Patrick Wilson, a man who spruced up countless heads from Moncton, Fredericton, Ottawa and Winnipeg surrendered his soul to God on June 26, 2004, after a heroic struggle with cancer. Pat passed away in the company of his family and friends and is remembered in the prayers and thoughts of the many who loved him as a barber, musician and friend. Pat was born on July 6, 1954 in Ottawa, the fourth of five sons of Mary Jane (Molly) Murray and Robert Andrew Wilson. Pat was married to the love of his life Sharon Gillies for almost twenty - five years, and they were blessed with two children Jodi age 20, and Aaron age 16. Pat spent his teenage years and youth in Ireland where he picked up the bass and played with local bands a practice that continued to bring him joy and communion with his buddies in Fredericton. Pat was an avid runner, tennis player and cyclist and as a descendant of storytellers developed his talent for humor and the tall tale. As well as his wife Sharon and the children Jody and Aaron, Pat is survived by his father Andrew and step mother Gladys and three brothers Murray, Neil and Andy. Pat is predeceased by his mother Molly and his youngest brother Martin. Visitations takes place on Tuesday, June 29TH at York Funeral Home from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM. A Memorial service will be celebrated at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 2 PM with Rev. Wes Stanley officiating. Following the service there will be a reception at the Kinsley United Baptist Church, 35 Kingsley Road. In lieu of flowers For those who wish, remembrances to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences may be offered via www.yorkfh.com.
