Little Harbour – Leslie Ronald Bugden, age 83, of Little Harbour, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Trenton, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Josephine (Mooring) Bugden. He worked in the woods in logging camps in Guysborough, was retired from the Trenton Car Works and worked as a helper fishing lobsters. He farmed and did work for people in the community. He and his wife built a playground in Little Harbour and he created Leslie Park in Little Egypt. He was a member of Little Harbour Presbyterian Church and a former member of the IOOF. He served in the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 29 Trenton. He was an avid stock car fan. He is survived by daughters: Kathleen (Russ) Andrews, Little Harbour; Elizabeth (George) Koszkulics, Kings Head; Janet (Bruce) Turple, Pictou; sons: Ronald (Ginny), Little Harbour; Robert (Leanne), Little Harbour; Adam, Truro; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters: Verna Johnson, Westville; Bertha (Don) MacNeil, Port Hastings; Elizabeth (Leonard) Dale, Newfoundland; Muriel (Fred) Myers, Winnipeg; Jean (Wilson) Ravenhill, Little Harbour; Anna Hughes, Toronto; brothers: Neil, Toronto; Alton (Muriel), New Glasgow; Gordon (Dorothy), Truro; William (Elaine), Indian Harbour Lake. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Joyce Reid; granddaughter, Ashley; brothers, Daniel and Scott; and sister, Ada. Visitation today 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. Funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday in Little Harbour Presbyterian Church with Rev. Joanne Vines officiating. Burial will be in Church Brook Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Little Harbour Sunday School or L.O.R.D.A.
