DAKIN, VIRGINIA GUY Virginia Dakin passed away quietly on July 7th, 2004 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. She was 98 years young. Virginia was the daughter of the late Fraser & Maria - Jane (Staples) Hazlett, and wife of the late Philip Dakin. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Richard Dakin as well as sisters, Mary Sutherland, Faye Clements, Jean Foster, Myrtle Watson, Alberta Hazlett, and a brother Richard. Virginia was affiliated with the Church of The Holy Trinity in New Maryland. Much of her leisure time was spent at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital volunteering at the children's ward. Although there will be no visitation, a funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 13th from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel at 11AM with Father Ron McBrine of the Anglican Catholic Church.
