JEAN ETTA (LASKEY) COLE
COLE, JEAN ETTA (LASKEY) At home surrounded by her loving family, after a strong courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, July 7, 2004, Jean Etta (Laskey) Cole, went home to be with her Lord at the age of 64 years. She is survived by husband Freeman Edward Cole, sons Leonard (Doreen) Cole and Larry Cole, all of Upper Salmon Creek; by brothers Fred (Jean) Laskey and Garnet (Pearl) Laskey each of Chipman; by sisters Laura (Hugh) Morton, Doris Hann, each of Chipman, Bessie Stewart of Minto and Margaret O'Quinn (Tom) of B.C.; by several nieces and nephews and by grandpuppy "Little Rascal" . She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Ethel (Johnston) Laskey, by brothers Archibald and Oscar Laskey. Funeral service was held from the Salmon Creek United Baptist Church on Saturday, July 10th, 2004 with Rev. H.A. Branscombe officiating. The pallbearers were Lindy Doiron, Sam William Sr., Stephen Williams, Dana Chase, Sheldon Dikie and Allan Dickie. Dorothy Ward, Edie Bishop, Lorna Barton, Vivian McLean, Ann Clark, Helena Dickie, Barb Thibodeau and Phyllis Wilson acted as honorary pallbearers. Internment was made in the Second Chipman United Baptist Cemetery. Chipman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
