LUCILLE (CORMIER) JAMIESON
JAMIESON, LUCILLE (CORMIER) Lucille (Cormier) Jamieson of Moncton and formerly of Fredericton passed away at Moncton Hospital on July 15th, 2004, after a very courageous battle with cancer. Survived by one daughter Jennifer (Danny) Pendleton and grandchildren, Madison and David-Daniel. Lucille was predeceased by her son David on November 19, 1984 (who himself lost a battle with cancer at age 16) and her husband George, who died suddenly on January 14th this year. Born at St. Anselme on August 22, 1947, Lucille is the daughter of Diana Cormier and the late Edmond Cormier. Lucille is also survived by brothers Roger (Sylvia), Georges (Paula) and sisters Jeannette (Roland) Richard, and Gisele (Maurice) LeBlanc. Lucille and her family lived in Fredericton for many years and recently moved back to Moncton. She will be widely mourned by many friends throughout the area. Lucille lived life with love, dignity, conviction and acceptance. She especially enjoyed summers at the Shediac cottage, shared with a host of close family and dear friends. Quilting, crafts, decorating, skiing and bridge-groups were her passions, but the ever-present smile on her lips and the sparkle in her eyes undoubtedly shone brightest for her beloved grandchildren. Even in the waning hours of her life Lucille demonstrated, as always, a profound wisdom and faith far exceeding earthly environs. The joy of life and compassion for others that was part of her daily living is an inspiration that will be treasured by everyone who had the good fortune to know Lucille. Visitation will be on Friday July 16th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton, N.B. (506-852-3530). The Funeral service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday July 17th at 10:00 a.m. Following the service a reception will be held in the Fair Haven Reception Centre. Messages of condolence for the family may be sent to fairhavenfh@arbormemorial.com In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society or another charity of the donor's choice.
