McSORLEY, MARY The passing of Mary Martha McSorley of Fredericton, NB occurred at York Manor Nursing Home on Friday, July 30, 2004. She was 86. Born in Millville, NB, she was a daughter of the late James and Alice May (Allwood) Liston. Mary was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She owned and operated Merry-M and Busy Beauty Salons and over the years as taught many students. Mary was president of the Hairdressers Association of NB for one year. She was an avid quilter, art painter, enjoyed her gardening and horse back riding. Survived by her daughter, Marilyn Day of Fredericton; a chosen daughter, Florence Cleary (Albert) of Bainsville, Ont.; a daughter-in-law, Agnes Scott of Fredericton; sisters-in-law, Blanche Liston of Dumfries, Kaye Dingee of Fredericton; son-in-law, Arthur Ingraham of Fredericton; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Kenneth (Ken) F. McSorley; a daughter, Donna Ingraham; a grandson, Gregory Scott, a brother Clifford Liston and a half brother Roland Rockwell; also by two sisters, Alice Caverhill and Jessie Crawshaw. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, where visitation will be held Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 am with Pastor Chin officiating. Interment in the Sunny Bank Cemetery.
