Lydia Maureen Bartosik, 68, of Ocean Springs, Ms., went to her great reward on Sunday, August 3, 2008. Mrs. Bartosik was a resident of the community for 15 years. She loved her children and grandchildren and dedicated her life to their well being. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Bartosik Sr.; her parents, Absalmon and Myrtle MacDonald; and a brother, Ivor MacDonald, Thorburn, N.S. Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Phillips Brown of Statesville, N.C..; and Heather Fik of Ocean Springs; two sons, Jerome Bartosik Jr., Ocean Springs; and Paul Bartosik, Pensacola, Fl.; two sisters, Sondra Lank and Grace Maxwell, both of Newfoundland; Clarence (Cuddy) MacDonald, and Ernest MacDonald, both of Nova Scotia; Gregory MacDonald of New Brunswick and 13 grandchildren. A private service was held in Ocean Springs. Donations in Maureen’s memory may be made to the Ivor MacDonald Memorial Rink, Thorburn.
