MATCHETT, JOHN BARKLEY The death of John Barklay Matchett of Maugerville, husband of Tammy (Banks) Matchett occurred on Thursday, August 5, 2004 at his home. Born in Miramichi, NB, he was a son of John and Sylvia (Curtis) Matchett. John enjoyed building and fixing things. Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Mark Matchett and a daughter, Megan Matchett both at home; one sister, Marilyn (Stephen) Curtis of Miramichi; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Carl Matchett. Visitation will take place at the Meadows Funeral Home, Sunny Corner, NB on Saturday from 2 to 6 pm and at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 9, 2004 at 2 pm from the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunny Bank Cemetery, Fredericton. For those who wish, remembrances to the a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
