POT, HENDRIK "HENRY" The death of Hendrik "Henry" Pot, husband of Lammechien "Ena" (Nijboer) Pot of Keswick Ridge occurred at his residence on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer he was surrounded by friends and family. Henry went Home to be with his Lord and Saviour and is safe in the arms of Jesus. B orn in Holland, in 1924, he was a son of the late Eildert and Klaassiena A. (Pepping) Pot. Mr. Pot was a retired Farmer, Meat Cutter and Handyman. He was one of the founding members of the Fredericton Christian Reformed Church, taught Sunday School, loved bowling, gardening and sharing flowers with everyone (especially the gladiolas). He will be sadly missed by his Friends and family. Besides his wife Ena, Henry is survived by 4 sons, Harry Pott (Evelyn) of Brockville ON, Gerry Pot (Arja) of Keswick Ridge NB, Peter Pott (Leza) of Burton NB, and Hank Pott (Wanda) of Keswick Ridge NB; 4 daughters, Margaret VanOord (Dick) of Jewett Mills NB, Ena Hamming (Kees) of Yellowknife NWT, Jane Woodworth (Dick) of Fredericton NB and Pam Pott of Fredericton NB; 26 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Jantje Kruizinga of Holland, Aaltje Niemeijer (Bertus) of Holland, Geziena Dieterman (Geert) of Holland, Johanna Nijboer (Otto) of Holland and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by one infant daughter and one infant grandson. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home 302 Brookside Dr. Fredericton NB on Friday from 6 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held at the Fredericton Christian Reformed Church, 121 McAdam Ave, Fredericton North on Saturday at 2pm with Pastor Robert Boertje officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Johanna Pott, Gregory Hamming, Melissa Pott, Richard VanOord, Penny Cosman, Nathaniel Hamming, Tim Pot and Dallas Woodworth. Honorary Pallbearer Jeremy Pott. Interment will take place at the Douglas Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
